So don't ask yourself which location is the most beautiful, ask yourself which one has the potential to be unique and unforgettable. Take a cue from our set-ups and discover how to customise your location, create and dose lighting points. See how we have taken bare, uninviting areas (photographed in winter) and transformed them into bright, enchanting spaces.
Ideas for customising an outdoor wedding
1. Tunnel of Love
Nothing is what it seems, see this passage through the bushes? We dropped cascading lights full of LEDs from above, similar to the foliage of willow trees. We used very bright, ribbon-like festoon strings. At the entrance we put a pedestal with an arrow and it became the tunnel of love:
2. Weeping willow tree
A centuries-old plant, the largest in the location, with its grandeur immediately exerted a great fascination on us. That is why we made it the star of the event.
We took about ten festoon strings, filled with warm white LEDs, and we hung them from the large, long branches, so that they would come down to illuminate the set-up on the ground.
One of the most scenic set-ups ever created was born. The composition provided the backdrop for wonderful shots, enhanced the photobooth area and attracted many people to the banquets.
3. Flower arch
This was a simple arch in a green area: it became a gateway to the tables and the refreshment area.
This couple's wedding had to be as romantic as possible, the chosen colours were blue and white. Therefore, we embellished the arch with themed floral decorations and placed two lanterns with a heart motif on either side.
4. Light wall for cake cutting
A green space large enough to accommodate many people and with equidistant little trees, arranged in a series to form a crescent. What to do with them, how to make the most of them?
We have set extendable led light curtains to the trunks to create a luminous wall. It became the backdrop for the cake cutting, one of the most emotional moments of the wedding.
A small table, candles and lanterns did the rest, helping to create the atmosphere of magic that the place needed.
5. Tree-lined avenue with vintage bulbs festoon
A tree-lined avenue long and wide enough to fit a large table. It would have been a bit bare like that wouldn't it?
However, the plants and especially the trunks are valuable supports, and we jumped at the chance to hang zig-zags from them vintage light bulb strings . They create atmosphere and produce a soft, gentle light, ideal for a wedding banquet.
6. Entering the forest with a curtain of lights
An artless clearing in the woods, from which a fundamental path starts: the one leading to the cake-cutting area. Bride and groom and guests would have walked it, how to make it valuable? How to make it special?
The two trunks on either side became pillars from which to hang a luminous curtain draped in white tulle, a symbol of elegance and purity.
And here is created a veritable curtain, ready to open to thrill guests and transport them into a fairytale world.
I hope I have taught you to look at potential locations with the gaze of the child in you, who dreamed of Prince Charming waiting for her in an enchanted place, where everything is possible and love lasts forever.
