There is no single way to decorate your Christmas tree: a lot depends on taste, context, and traditions.

Some people love a minimal tree with just lights, while others prefer a tree with a thousand colors and decorations. Some conceive it with only red and silver, while others enjoy matching it with the colors of their home and surroundings. One thing, however, is certain: the color and warmth provided by the lights.

That's why we have prepared these guidelines for you, useful if you are decorating the Christmas tree in your living room and you are not sure which or how many lights to use to achieve a beautiful effect.

There are several parameters that determine the exact amount of lighting required.

Height and diameter of your tree

Interspace between lights

Normally, the spacing increases in proportion to the size of the tree. The taller the tree, the more space you will leave.

Types of luminous decorations

Tradition requires the use of a light string; However, you must consider that there are strings of the same length with different quantities of lights.

LEDs can also vary in size and can be placed closer together or farther apart.

If you prefer a very bright tree, opt for strands of mini LED lights Cluster and Minicluster Lights: The LEDs are practically attached and facing in both directions, so the tree appears wrapped not by a single string but by a large ribbon. This decoration has such a sufficient to decorate the tree alone.

If, on the other hand, lights are an accessory for you, opt for light strings with a more discreet effect, such as those with mini LEDs: they are smaller and spaced apart, providing a pleasant illumination without being excessive and highlighting non-luminous decorations effectively. Enhance your tree with hanging Christmas motifs and DIY creations for an imaginative and personalized decoration.

The color of the tree can also be enhanced more or less with the lights. Do you have a white or green tree? On the first one, a transparent cable produces a unique effect, while on the second one, a dark green cable easily blends in among the branches, making the LED lights shine brightly.

TAll these calculations seem complicated to you, or you don't have enough time for precise lighting decoration? Consider the option of using the so-called “Lights Tree Wrap”: It is a light net specifically designed for the conical shape of the Christmas tree. You can easily and quickly 'dress up' your tree and achieve the desired effect with a uniform and calibrated distribution of lights.
